Fully Functional Navigation Software Included Free of Charge:
NDI has again teamed up with Maptech to provide free software on all DigitalOcean® CDs for 2007! Maptech’s Offshore Navigator, which retailed for over $125 in 2006, is now included FREE OF CHARGE in all DigitalOcean® Raster chart CD titles. This fully functional software enables a recreational boater to enjoy all the features and benefits of an electronic navigation system used on commercial vessels.
Free OnLine Updating Services:
In addition to lower prices and free software, NDI has also made significant changes to its licensing policy and updating services. The new end-user license is perpetual and does not require annual renewal, thereby making online chart updates and product upgrade voluntary. For recreational navigation purpose, the end-user licensee can obtain and apply related chart updates as they are released by CHS and NDI. Also, purchasing the DigitalOcean® Value Pack or Super Value pack products 2007 edition entitles the licensed user to two online seasonal updates of related updated charts during the year free of charge.
Upgrades and Updating Services:
Again in 2007 to ensure affordability, NDI has maintained its 50% product upgrading policy, whereby next year’s upgraded editions of specific DigitalOcean® Value Pack and Super Value Packs will be available to registered users of the 2007 edition at 50% of the retail value. NDI highly recommends that boaters maintain up-to-date charts for safety purposes.
Affordable Pricing:
With the 2007 upgrades and additions, the average price in DigitalOcean® raster chart is now below $6.25 per chart in the Value Packs and below $4.50 per chart in the Super Value Packs. The new enhancements and services make DigitalOcean® chart products more accessible and affordable to the recreational boating and sports fishing community than ever.

The paper chart format and most related graphics of nautical charts are universal and are familiar to all mariners around the world, and the DigitalOcean® raster chart products are among the best selling paper-like charts in the market.
