FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NDI is Appointed as an Authorized Distributor of Primar Stavanger ENC Service St. John’s, NL, Canada, February 7, 2007 -- Nautical Data International Inc. ("NDI") is pleased to announce that it has been appointed today by the Norwegian Hydrographic Service (NHS), operator of the Primar Stavanger as an authorized distributor of Primar Stavanger ENC Service with its worldwide portfolio of official electronic navigational charts (ENCs) and services including Primar Online. The ENC service distribution agreement will expand NDI’s current portfolio of ENCs to more than 6100 IHO S-57 compliant datasets, covering the national navigable waters and coastal zones of more than 35 countries. As an authorized distributor, NDI will expand its scope and history of providing ENCs and updating services to the Canadian and international shipping community. NDI’s distribution services for the Primar Stavanger worldwide ENC portfolio will commence on March 1st, 2007. BACKGROUND NOTES: Primar Stavanger provides its service through a regional ENC coordinator centre (RENC) regime and distributor agreements with other countries and ENC suppliers. The ENC service currently comprises ENC coverage from more than 35 countries in addition to international waters. All Primar Stavanger’s ENCs are sold via an international network of authorized distributors, and are kept regularly updated by the Primar Chart Catalogue and the newly-launched Primar Online remote updating service. Primar Stavanger is operated by the Norwegian Hydrographic Service. Nautical Data International, Inc. (NDI) is the sole worldwide distributor of the official Canadian electronic navigation charts and other digital nautical information.
