The 2005 P1 CD, purchased separately or as part of Super Value Pack – Pacific, does not contain this new Traffic Separation Scheme. An update is available for your DigitalOcean product in these chart regions (see link below) . This update will install advanced copies of these charts. These charts are for information only – NOT FOR NAVIGATION.
The advanced copies will be installed in a subdirectory 050701 under the directory CA_CHTS directory. The charts will all have the designator ‘-A’ (example 3440-A.bsb, 3440-A01.cap). The full path to these charts should be of the form:
C:\Program Files\Digital Ocean\P1\CA_CHTS\050701
To view these charts, point your navigation software to this directory. To return to the original charts, set the path back to the CA_CHTS directory.
Remember, this Traffic Separation Scheme does not come into effect until July 1st. For navigation, use the old versions (in CA_CHTS directory) until that time.
On July 1st, a second update will be available from our web site that will remove these advance copies and install new copies without the ‘-A’ designator. These new copies will incorporate the new Traffic Separation Scheme and will be written directly to the CA_CHTS directory.
